Yarnbombing en Islandia

Ya estoy de vuelta!

Tengo un montón de cosas que enseñaros, pero si algo he aprendido durante estos 15 días es que, de lana, los islandeses saben mucho. Empezando por su animal favorito, la oveja (está por todas partes!), siguiendo por los bonitos suéteres de tricot y acabando por las impresionantes guerrillas callejeras (yarnbombing). 

En definitiva, he sido muy feliz envuelta de tanta lana!

Aquí os dejo una muestra de las que me encontré por el camino. Algunas intervenciones son muy visibles, otras, te las encuentras si te pierdes por las calles de Reykjavik o Akureyri (seguro que hay más escondidas en otras partes!).

Back again!

I've got lots of things to show you, but one of the headlines I learnt is that icelander know a lot about wool! They have got sheeps all around, they handmade beautiful tricot swaters and, finally, they make wonderful yarbombing. I found these ones while I was walking throught the streets of Reykjavik and Akureyri.

Knitting Iceland es un colectivo aficionado al tricot que se reúne cada martes. Muchas de las intervenciones de Reykjavik están hechas por ellos y, además, organizan iniciativas muy creativas, como los Knitting Tours por toda Islandia, para conocer mejor esta tradición recorriendo la isla.

Esta última foto es de delante del Kaffi Költ, en Akureyri (es un local muy chulo para tomar café, tartas, tocar la guitarra o comprar algún artículo en su mercería).

Knitting Iceland is a tricot lover collective that made most of the Reykjavik yarnbombing and also they organize creative initiatives like Knitting Tours around Iveland, to know more about these practice in the island.

Last photo is made in front of Kaffi Költ, in Akureyri (a cute space where you can take cofe, eat some cake, play the guitar or shop tricot and other craft supplies).
